For your safety When you go to the mountains, for your safety please do not forget to take the following precautions: 1. It is advisable not to go to the mountains alone, but if you do, tell somebody about your planned route and the approximate time you will return.
2. Plan the route based on the mountain conditions (rain, snow, fog...) and your own physical and technical conditions. 3. Before leaving, check the weather conditions. You can look them up in this Web. 4. Learn to get your bearings and always take a map with you. 5. If you get lost or have an accident, keep calm. Try to phone 112. Always have your mobile telephone charged and working properly. Give precise details. 6. Take a basic first aid kit in your rucksack and learn how to use it. Go to first aid courses. Keep fit during the week and all year round. 7. Always take some extra food and water for emergencies. 8. Wear suitable clothes and footwear for the weather conditions. The weather can change suddenly in the mountains. Gloves, hat, goggles, cagoule and thermal vest always your rucksack. 9. However, do not fill your rucksack with things you do not need, lightness is the mountaineer\'s friend. 10. Be supportive help anybody who needs help.
